BIOGRAPHY
Matthew Trueman grew up in
Friuli Venezia Giulia, 45 minutes north of Venice in northern Italy.
He returned to the States
to attend the Ringling School of Art and Design, and graduated with a B.F.A
in illustration.
He works from a studio in
his home by the Delaware River, where he lives with his wife Anna, a "sommelière",
a book artist and a printmaker,
and their daughter Mina.
His current projects include
an upcoming children's book for Candlewick Press to be published in January
2009
children's books for Random
House, Houghton Mifflin Publishers, Dutton Children's Books,Chronicle Children
Books
and an upcoming children's
book for Farrar Straus & Giroux as well as corporate and editorial
work.
His passion for food, eating
it and never cooking it makes of him the best gourmand around.
He also likes the ourtdoors,
whether jogging or baling hay in his friends' farm.
